Payment & Payout Terms

1. Payment Processors

Payments and payouts on Songsi are processed by third-party payment providers, primarily Stripe and Stripe Connect. By using paid features, you agree to the applicable processor terms, including the Stripe Services Agreement and Stripe Connected Account Agreement where applicable.

2. Types of Payments

Paid features include song requests, boosts, dedications, tips, artist booking deposits and payments, and any subscriptions or feature fees disclosed at purchase.

3. Platform Fee

Songsi charges a platform fee on eligible paid transactions. The applicable fee percentage and any fixed component are disclosed at checkout or in the applicable artist or business dashboard, and may be updated with reasonable notice. The platform fee is calculated on each paid transaction and retained by Songsi from the gross amount before payout to the Artist.

4. Artist Payouts

Payouts are released to the Artist's connected account after deduction of the platform fee and any processor fees, subject to the processor's payout schedule and requirements. Payouts require completed onboarding, identity verification, and bank details on file with the processor.

5. Holds, Reserves, and Reversals

Payment processors may place holds or reserves on funds, or reverse payments, for risk, chargeback, fraud, or compliance reasons. Songsi may pass through these actions to the affected account.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund & Request Policy. When a paid song request is refunded (whether at the fan's affirmative election following non-performance, or automatically after the fan's 24-hour selection window elapses without a choice), the Songsi platform fee and the Artist's request earnings for that transaction are not retained by Songsi or the Artist. Songsi issues the refund through the payment processor, and where the transaction was routed through Stripe Connect, Songsi reverses the related destination transfer and any application fee on the underlying charge so the Artist's payout is adjusted accordingly. Third-party payment processing fees may or may not be recoverable in accordance with the processor's policies.

7. Unfulfilled Song Requests and Separate Voluntary Tips

If a paid song request is not performed during the applicable Songsi Live Session, Songsi will notify the fan and give the fan two explicit options: (a) "Support the Artist Instead," under which Songsi refunds the unfulfilled request payment and separately invites the fan to authorize a new, voluntary tip transaction to the artist, or (b) "Refund My Request," under which Songsi refunds the unfulfilled request payment to the fan's original payment method. Songsi does not automatically create a tip. If the fan does not make a selection within 24 hours, Songsi will automatically initiate a refund to the fan's original payment method.

Where the fan affirmatively selects "Support the Artist Instead," the refund of the original request payment and the follow-on tip are two separate transactions, recorded as separate ledger entries. The tip is a new charge on the fan's payment method, processed under Songsi's tip platform fee rules. If the fan abandons the tip authorization, the refund of the original request still stands and no tip is created. Songsi does not retain the original Stripe charge and reclassify it as a tip.

8. Chargebacks and Disputes

If a user disputes a charge with their card issuer, the disputed amount may be withheld or reversed by the processor. Songsi may debit the associated Artist or Business account for chargebacks and related processor fees.

9. Currency and Taxes

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. You are responsible for taxes on amounts you receive through Songsi, and Songsi or its processors may issue tax forms as required by law.

10. Card and Payment Data

Full card numbers and sensitive payment details are collected and stored by the payment processor, not by Songsi. Songsi receives transaction metadata such as amount, item, timestamp, and status.

11. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Songsi payment features to launder money, evade fees, process transactions unrelated to Songsi Services, or in violation of applicable law or processor rules.
