Our Approach
Songsi respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Services to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and similar laws, Songsi will respond to properly submitted notices of alleged copyright infringement involving content available through the Services.
Reporting Alleged Infringement
The fastest way to submit a copyright notice is through the Copyright Complaint Form. You may also submit a written notice to Songsi's designated copyright agent through Songsi's designated legal or copyright contact channel. Any submission must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including its location on Songsi (URL or sufficient detail for us to locate it).
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Response to Notices
Upon receipt of a valid notice, Songsi may remove or disable access to the identified material and take reasonable steps to notify the user who submitted the material.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification through Songsi's designated copyright contact channel that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the applicable U.S. federal district court, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or their agent.
Repeat Infringers
Songsi may, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
Misrepresentations
Under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. Please consider carefully before submitting a notice or counter-notice.
Designated Agent
Songsi's designated copyright agent may be reached through Songsi's designated legal or copyright contact channel.
