Booking Terms
Last updated: July 7, 2026
These Booking Terms apply when an Artist and a Business use Songsi to arrange and confirm a live performance booking. They supplement the Songsi Terms of Use, Artist Terms, and Business & Venue Terms.
1. Nature of the Booking
A confirmed booking is an agreement between the Artist and the Business. Songsi provides discovery, messaging, scheduling, and payment tools to facilitate the booking, but is not a party to the performance agreement, an employer of the Artist, or an agent of either party.
2. Booking Request and Acceptance
A booking is not confirmed until the Artist accepts the request through Songsi and any required deposit or payment method is authorized. Details such as date, time, duration, location, load-in, and performance requirements should be captured through the Songsi booking flow.
3. Payment and Payout
Booking payments are processed by Stripe. Deposits, holds, or full payments may be captured at booking or on a schedule disclosed at checkout. Payouts to the Artist are released after the performance in accordance with the Payment & Payout Terms and the payment processor's requirements.
4. Cancellations by the Business
Cancellation windows and any non-refundable portions of the booking are disclosed at checkout. Cancellations closer to the performance date may result in partial or full forfeiture of amounts paid, as disclosed at booking.
5. Cancellations or No-Shows by the Artist
If the Artist cancels or fails to appear for a confirmed booking without a valid excuse, Songsi will refund the Business's booking payment (net of amounts not recoverable from third-party processors) and may take account action against the Artist, including future booking restrictions.
6. Force Majeure
Neither party is responsible for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, illness, government order, power outage, or venue emergency. In such cases, the parties will work in good faith to reschedule or process an appropriate refund.
7. Performance Details
The Artist retains creative control over the performance, including set list, song selection, and delivery, subject to reasonable venue-appropriate expectations agreed to in the booking. Requested songs during Songsi Live features remain subject to the Artist's discretion.
8. Venue Conditions
The Business is responsible for providing safe venue conditions, agreed equipment, power, load-in access, and applicable licenses and permits. The Artist is responsible for arriving on time with the equipment they committed to provide.
9. Recordings and Promotion
Recording, streaming, or photography of the performance is permitted only as expressly agreed between the Artist and Business. Songsi may reference publicly listed booking activity for platform statistics and marketing.
10. Disputes
Parties should first attempt to resolve booking disputes directly. Songsi may, at its discretion, provide mediation or take action based on the booking record, messages, and platform activity. Refund determinations follow the Refund & Request Policy.
